Assessment

Assessments are conducted every six weeks and may be recorded using either Phonics Tracker or the formatted Excel spreadsheet.

The spreadsheet provides a clear overview of children’s knowledge, making gaps in learning easy to identify and address.

The first spreadsheet should be used to enter the results of the Phase assessment, allowing you to identify the specific GPCs where children may require additional support.

These results can then be copied and pasted into the full assessment spreadsheet to track progress and attainment across Phases 2–5.
